1) Who are you and where are you?
John, currently located in South Bend, IN.
2) What do you do for work?
I am currently a student at a local university and otherwise unemployed.
3) What do you do for fun?
Hit local bookshops and look for old and out of print books. Various steampunk things as well.
4) Tell me something about your bookshelves.
This shelf is reserved for books that I have really enjoyed and/or have made me think about my place in the world. There are a number of other shelves (20, in all) filled with more books...and then there is the pile (which doubles as a shelf) of books that rests next to my bed. Those are the books I read/use most often.
5) Tell me something about ONE of the books on your shelf.
Buddha's Little Finger, by Victor Pelevin, is probably the second best book I have ever read. Saying why would ruin the point of the book itself, instead I'll just say that Pelevin has this magic skill with words that really works for me. This copy is actually a replacement for a copy that I was foolish enough to lend out to someone a few months after the book made the rounds of my inner circle. I've been hunting for that copy ever since, but come up with nothing.
